LOCKDOWN 2020: Edinburgh Without Tourists

For those who miss Edinburgh or those who’ve never been and would like to get a glimpse - join me for a walk round Lockdown Edinburgh!

After living in Edinburgh for 8 years and having worked in tourism for 5, I am astonished to see the city so empty and dead.

I live right in the city centre and I am used to encountering lots of people from all over the world just to get to work.

Now the same streets, which were buzzing with life just a few months ago are completely empty.

Thankfully not for long!

I moved to Edinburgh when I was 18 years old and started my life from a complete ZERO.

I had n o t h i n g.

Building my life as a young and very confused person in a completely different country and culture was one of the most eye/soul/heart opening experiences.

I am deeply grateful to this city, to its people and the incredible opportunities it has given me.
