Greetings from the UNKNOWN ∞ : Wild Camping in the Scottish Highlands

Wild camping to me is a truly spiritual experience. Not in some New Age-y kind of way, but in the authentic, connecting to oneself, to our ancestors, our intuition and survival way.

This experience requires to be truly present and to me it's the essence of spirituality. Being here and now, enjoying this very moment and being aware of your feelings.

While wild camping, your mind needs to rewire and recalibrate its priorities. Constantly changing plans, unpredictability of the weather, uncertainty of camping location access and many other factors, which you cannot always pre-plan or control - teach you flexibility.

It's funny how the standards and needs are lowered once you encounter discomfort.

But there's nothing more soothing than spending every evening by the fire, sharing stories, observing the sky, having morning dips in wild waters and feeling the ground beneath you bare-feet.

Smelling all the smells, observing all the plants and living beings, occasionally being visited by some animals too!

Nature provides everything. Its generosity is abundant.

It blows my mind to think that our ancestors and some living tribes still have the knowledge of most plants and mushrooms and their medicinal properties, while I know so very little.

Living in the wild is a great opportunity to meet yourself.

I've been doing it since I was very little and there is still so much to learn, deepen and discover.

Here's a quick kaleidoscopic journal of my adventure,

Much love,

e
